How to build or create .apk file in android?

If you are developing in Eclipse, the ADT plugin incrementally builds your project as you make changes to the source code. Eclipse outputs an .apk file automatically to the bin folder of the project, so you do not have to do anything extra to generate the .apk.

When you run the project on the emulator, the .apk is generated on the bin directory.


For testing on device, you can connect the device using USB and run from eclipse just as emulator.
If you need to distribute the app, then use the export feature:
